Marin Montagut was inspired by his favorite rose, "Pierre de Ronsard," to create this illustration. From his garden in Normandy, where he loves to admire his rose bushes, he wanted to immortalize one of these flowers named after the famous 16th-century poet, Pierre de Ronsard. All combined with an imaginary card representing play and love.
Marin Montagut designs each of his tableware models by drawing inspiration from antique French crockery. The exceptionally delicate crockery is made of glazed porcelain. Each model is handcrafted, using the ancestral savoir-faire of plaster molds. The illustrations are applied in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris, and each piece is fired on-site.
