The decorative wall print THE SNAKE & THE BUTTERFLY was a collaborative effort: it was hand-drawn by Marin Montagut and then printed by Antoinette Poisson. Marin created the original drawings himself, respecting the spirit of 18th-century engravings. Faithful to the quality of materials used at the time, "À Paris chez Antoinette Poisson" then pressed his illustrations sheet by sheet in their Parisian workshop, using a traditional press, on handmade laid domino paper made from 100% pure rags, handcrafted in France. Finally, Marin mounted each engraving onto two wooden strips that curl up like a scroll and are tied with a grosgrain ribbon, in the style of handwritten maps of the period.
The limited series in color, signed and numbered from 1 to 200 for each garden, is exclusively hand-painted in watercolor, one by one.
