Little Showcase of Wonders | LUXEMBOURG GARDEN CHAIR
Description
Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Médicis, the Jardin du Luxembourg is one of the springtime meeting places for lovers of Paris. Marin Montagut captures it through one of its most illustrious accessories: its iconic green chair, the CHAISE DU JARDIN DU LUXEMBOURG. The illustration is presented here in the form of a "Vitrine À Merveilles" (Cabinet of Curiosities).
The "vitrine à merveilles" is a three-dimensional object in the spirit of a diorama, entirely hand-painted and created in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris.
Each piece is unique, numbered, and signed by the artist.
It is made of papier-mâché and enclosed with a glass pane.
A precious object to admire without moderation.
Each display case comes with its certificate of authenticity, personalized with the name of its owner.
Made in France.
