Designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1887 for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, THE EIFFEL TOWER is now the symbol that represents Paris and France around the world. Marin Montagut pays tribute to it through a watercolor illustration, applied here to a delicate small porcelain plate.
Marin Montagut designs each of his tableware models by drawing inspiration from French dinnerware of yesteryear. The tableware, of rare delicacy, is made of enameled porcelain. Each model is made by hand, using the ancestral know-how of plaster molds.
The illustrations are applied in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris and each piece is fired on site.
