Small plate | LUXEMBOURG GARDEN CHAIR
Description
The small plate is perfectly suited for tasting a dessert or cheese.
Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de' Medici, the Jardin du Luxembourg is a spring meeting place for lovers of Paris. Marin Montagut captures it through one of its most illustrious accessories: its iconic green chair, the CHAISE DU LUXEMBOURG. The watercolor illustration is presented here in the form of a small porcelain plate.
Marin Montagut designs each of his tableware models by drawing inspiration from antique French crockery. The exceptionally delicate crockery is made of glazed porcelain. Each model is handcrafted, using the ancestral know-how of plaster molds.
The illustrations are applied in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris and each piece is fired on site.
