An ode to the master of our hearts and homes, MEDALLION CAT is dedicated to lovers of these small felines. The illustration created by Marin Montagut is featured here in the form of a Secret Book.
Used since the 18th century in France, secret books allow us to hide our little treasures. The pages of the books were cut out to hide jewelry, precious stones, love letters, and other intimate little wonders.
Inspired by this tradition, the "Secret Books" collection, made of papier-mâché, is entirely crafted, painted, and numbered by hand in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris. The inside is lined with hand-printed marbled bookbinding paper from France and contains a ribbon with a key-shaped metal trinket at its end.
