Deep plateLUXEMBOURG GARDEN CHAIR

Deep plate | LUXEMBOURG GARDEN CHAIR

Description

The soup plate can be used as a presentation plate for fruits or even bread. It is also perfectly suited for enjoying pasta or a salad.

Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Médicis, the Jardin du Luxembourg is a spring meeting place for lovers of Paris. Marin Montagut captures it through one of its most illustrious accessories: its iconic green chair, the CHAISE DU LUXEMBOURG. The watercolor illustration is presented here as a porcelain soup plate.

Marin Montagut designs each of his tableware models by drawing inspiration from antique French crockery. The exceptionally delicate tableware is made of enamelled porcelain. Each model is handcrafted using the ancestral know-how of plaster molds.

The illustrations are applied in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris and each piece is fired on-site.
