Deep plateCHAISE DU JARDIN DU LUXEMBOURG

The deep plate can be used as a serving plate, with fruit or even bread. It is also ideal for enjoying pasta or a salad.

Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de' Medici, the Jardin du Luxembourg is a springtime meeting place for lovers of Paris. Marin Montagut captures it through one of its most illustrious accessories: its iconic green chair, the CHAISE DU LUXEMBOURG. The watercolor illustration is presented here on a porcelain deep plate.

Marin Montagut designs each of his tableware models drawing inspiration from French dinnerware of the past. This exceptionally delicate dinnerware is made of enameled porcelain. Each model is shaped by hand, using the ancestral know-how of plaster molds.

The illustrations are applied in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris and each piece is fired on site.
