Description
The dessert plate is ideal for enjoying a sweet treat at the end of a meal or at tea time. It can also be used as a cheese plate.
Designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1887 for the 1889 Universal Exhibition, THE EIFFEL TOWER is now the symbol that represents Paris and France around the world. Marin Montagut pays tribute to it through a watercolor illustration, applied here to a porcelain plate.
Marin Montagut creates each of his tableware designs by drawing inspiration from old French dinnerware. The dinnerware, of rare delicacy, is made of glazed porcelain. Each model is handcrafted, using the ancestral savoir-faire of plaster molds.
The illustrations are applied in Marin Montagut's workshops in Paris and each piece is fired on site.
